The Computer User Support Specialist 1 is responsible for providing support for general software and hardware systems within the University of Cincinnati, specifically within a college. This includes installation, setup, and repair of off-the-shelf software programs and conducting user training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
  • Relevant work experience considered.
  • Experience with IT service delivery in an educational environment.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for support requests.
  • Experience imaging and deploying systems and applications with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy configuration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience with managing an asset lifecycle (from procurement to disposal).
  • Experience supporting basic Audio/Video needs in a classroom environment.
