The State of Florida is seeking an Accounting Services Administrator to perform a wide variety of accounting and reconciliation functions. The position is responsible for overseeing the Department's Fleet program, maintaining the property accounting sub-system, and supervising the preparation, processing, and approval of subrogating automobile accidents involving department vehicles.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of State of Florida accounting policies and procedures
  • Skill in reconciling financial data, balancing financial accounts, and comparing records to determine whether the figures are accurate and in agreement
  • Ability to use analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Skill in Microsoft Office applications including Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to use sound judgment to identify problems, generate and evaluate alternative solutions, and make recommendations
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage completing deadlines
  • Skill in communicating effectively with internal and external customers, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work well independently yet works cohesively within the section to maintain internal control measures
