AVP - Architecture

Join Travelers as an Assistant Vice President of Architecture to lead the effort to create the technology target state for the Bond and Specialty Insurance Unit. As a visionary executive, you will help transform our current business and technology capabilities and pave the way for best-in-class solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of technology Architecture experience
• Experience leading large scale transformation programs on major technology platforms like Guidewire, ServiceNow, Salesforce
• Provided mentorship to architecture leaders
• Organizational and transformational Leadership Experience in an agile operating model
• Expert level Software Engineering awareness
• Led development of strategic technology direction and architecture vision for an organization
• Developed technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goals
• Proven track record of Influencing C-level leadership
• Insurance technology experience
• Strong grasp of value creation and business capability models
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Demonstrated ability to drive decisions
• Must be passionate about technology transformations
• Has hands on experience in the last 3 years
• Executed technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API Strategy
• Current experience with AWS, APIs, Accelerators, DevSecOps
• Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud
• Good understanding of security
• The ability to remain resilient and maintain a positive attitude in the face of challenges and setbacks
• A strategic vision to align API architecture with long-term business goals and objectives
• Ability to influence and persuade others to adopt new ideas, processes, or technologies
• Proficiency in presenting ideas, solutions, and technical concepts to diverse audiences in a clear and engaging manner
• Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective solutions
• Strong teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and Circle/Value Stream leads
