CMDB Data Configuration Analyst

The CMDB Data Configuration Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role is critical for maintaining a reliable source of truth for IT assets and their relationships, supporting effective IT service management processes, and enabling informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance
• 10+ Years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT service management, with a focus on configuration management and CMDB administration
• Proven experience with CMDB tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Helix, Micro Focus Universal CMDB). The program uses ServiceNow.
• Experience with data governance principles and practices
• Experience with data modeling and database design
• Experience with IT automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, storage, databases)
• Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Program uses Azure.
• Understanding of API integrations and data exchange formats (e.g., JSON, XML)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Strong documentation skills
