The New York City Board of Correction seeks a Computer Aide to support the agency's infrastructure and application footprint. The ideal candidate is well organized, dynamic, customer-focus, proactive and is strong in team-player, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Certificate from an accredited technical school with a specialization in computer operations
- 2 years of satisfactory full-time computer operations experience in a large-scale networked, multi-tiered, or mainframe computer environment
- Proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook and PowerPoint
- FTP, SFTP, FTPS, Web Services and other data transfer/protocol/automation experience
- Proficient in MS Windows Server, SSIS, Visual Studio, and developing data forms
- Experience with administration of Android and iOS devices (phone and tablet)
- Ability to troubleshoot user issues and provide training to staff
- ServiceNow Ticket Administration
- Helpdesk support experience
- Familiarity with client/server technologies, SQL relational databases, SQL Reporting, SQL Queries, and computer operational concepts
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner with discretion and integrity
- A valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organization skills
- Commitment to problem-solving approaches and creating efficiencies
- Ability to lift and move desktop computers and other IT-related equipment's and inventory as needed
- Interest in the Board of Correction's mission and mandate
