Configuration Manager

We are looking for Configuration Managers on behalf of our client for their location in the Netherlands. Our client is a major European organization operating in a complex, multi-site environment. The Configuration Manager will oversee and maintain the integrity of the IT environment, ensuring accurate recording and control of assets in the configuration management database (CMDB).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent
• Certifications in ITIL (Foundation/Practitioner/Expert) especially focusing on Configuration Management and Change Management
• Certifications in related IT Service Management frameworks or tools, such as ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist for CMDB
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in IT Service Management roles, particularly those that involve managing configurations, assets, or infrastructure components
• Several years of experience in software packaging and endpoint management
• Experience with software packaging and deployment
• Knowledge of MECM and Intune for endpoint management
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and compliance
• Experience in implementing compliance policies within IT environments
• Prior experience managing CMDBs, implementing configuration management processes, or leading configuration management initiatives
• Hands-on experience of Configuration Management tools such as ServiceNow CMDB and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
• Proficient in implementing and applying ITSM principles, processes, and best practices for managing IT services
• Practical skills in how configuration management interacts with Change, Release, and Incident management processes
• Application of methodologies such as Agile and DevOps
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), IT infrastructures, and how different components interact in complex IT environments
• Familiarity with ISO standards and frameworks
• Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
