The Head, CIO Office plays a key role in supporting the CIO in bolstering NTU's standing as a world-class institution by leveraging technology as the key enabler. The incumbent will be an integral part of the CITS leadership team, working with the CIO and Dy CIO to provide strategic leadership and support for all aspects of NTU's IT services.
Requirements
- Collaborate with the IT Directors to establish the development of the multi-year IT strategy, technology roadmap and annual work plan for the University.
- Establish and maintain a cohesive IT architecture to guide the implementation and integration of technology solutions across the University.
- Assist in the identification of innovations, technologies, and system solutions that enhance user experiences and support the adoption of new technologies aligned with the university's business strategy.
- Manage the preparation and execution of the annual budget, ensuring prudent allocation of resources and ongoing monitoring of expenditures in line with institutional priorities.
- Oversee a portfolio of key IT projects, ensuring performance metrics are met and progress is regularly reported to executive leadership.
- Faciliate governance and compliance activities, including the Sunrise Program, by collaborating with departments to strengthen IT governance and ensure adherence to the university's policies and regulations.
- Oversee the ISO 20000 Certification for Service Management, and the effective management of the IT Service Management System using ServiceNow.
- Responsible for the IT audit process, working with internal and external auditors to plan, execute, and review audits, while ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
- Lead the team in piloting new tools and platforms on AI, Analytics and Automation, under the Centre of Excellence initiative.
- Develop the AI and Data Analytics strategy plan for the University.
- Collaborate with NTU's HR department to develop IT job frameworks, contribute to capability building, and ensure the continuous upskilling of the IT workforce to meet the University's evolving needs.
- Oversee the Office Administration for CITS.
