IT Security Engineer

Join our project to work on creating a more efficient, modern, and secure customs environment within the European Union. Design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect the organization's network, systems, applications, and data. Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Informatics or similar field of study
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a similar role
• ITIL certification and experience with service management tools such as ServiceNow
• Proven experience as an IT Security Engineer, Network Security Engineer, or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and network security technologies
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and penetration testing techniques
• Familiarity with IT security frameworks and standards
• Solid understanding of cloud security, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud security models and tools
• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection principles
• Experience with scripting and automation to streamline security processes
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar credentials
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Experience with security in hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Knowledge of incident response and digital forensics
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English, any other European language would be a plus
