Peraton is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to manage and support customer's Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance. The ideal candidate will work in a DoD environment and have experience with ACAS, Tenable Nessus, and background working in a DoD environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years experience or high school diploma/equivalent and 9 years experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must have an active Secret clearance (or higher)
  • Proven experience as a Linux Administrator (3+ years)
  • Experience with server-client architectures preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ACAS, Tenable Nessus, and Security Center
  • Knowledge of STIGs and secure configuration of Linux devices preferred
  • Familiarity with DoD policies and security compliance frameworks
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
  • Understanding of networking concepts and security protocols
  • Experience with BMC ARS, BMC Helix, or ServiceNow as an ITSM tool
  • Knowledge of Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
