Machine Learning Engineer - Senior

The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a highly experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to support U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award of the USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) contract. The successful candidate will develop and justify the performance of algorithms that implement novel, network-based image processing capabilities, supervise development of standalone applications and/or major software subsystems and components, and work with Project Managers to establish objectives for AI systems.

Requirements

• US Citizen with active Secret level clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in related field
• One or more certifications: Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer, AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty, Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional, GIAC Machine Learning Engineer (GMLE), IBM Machine Learning Professional, or Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate
• Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow)
• Agile methodology knowledge and experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment
• Ability to write robust code in Python, Java and R
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
• Deep understanding of data science and software engineering
• Experience in a large, distributed IT enterprise
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles
• Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture
• Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics, and algorithms
