Grainger is a leading broad line distributor seeking a Payroll Tax Manager to ensure compliance with payroll tax laws across North America and the US. This role focuses on payroll tax management, ensuring quality service level agreements, and continuous improvement. The position requires deep knowledge of payroll operations and systems and will act as an advisor to both employees and managers.
Requirements
- Manage all aspects of payroll compliance, inclusive of Payroll tax, garnishments, and keeping up with updated and new payroll tax laws
- Develops key performance indicators to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of payroll tax processes
- Ensure payroll tax setups are accurate (state, local, and provincial)
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Responsible to bring all Payroll tax and compliance issues to Payroll Director
- Serve as subject matter expert for payroll tax
- Ensure payroll tax setups are accurate (state, local, and provincial)
- Responsible to balance the quarter on a quarterly basis and to provide backup to the Payroll Director
- Train, coach and support payroll tax team
- Identify opportunities for process and continuous improvements
