Interac is seeking a Monitoring & Observability, Senior Specialist to ensure the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of Interac systems while championing best practices for Monitoring & Observability. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in Splunk, Dynatrace, and visualization products, and experience in leading teams and providing observability vision and roadmaps.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years of work experience administrating Splunk and/or Dynatrace
- Experience with ServiceNow (ITSM/ITOM) and managing tool integration with ServiceNow
- Extensive experience working with Splunk, visualization products and/or Dynatrace
- Experience with leading teams and providing observability vision and roadmaps
- Experience with log and metrics collection and analysis
- Deeply familiar with application monitoring for Java applications & microservices architectures
- Experienced in writing alerts, reports, and dashboard queries in Splunk or similar
- Experience with automated pipelines and implementations
- Experience with alert and notification management in PagerDuty or similar
- Proficiency in working with both Linux/Unix and Windows systems
- Knowledge in one or more scripting languages
- Understanding of ITIL service management processes
- Skills in IT problem diagnosis and resolution
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Love of learning and willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge
- Ability to solve difficult problems with efficient and logical solutions
- Ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities and deal with information from different sources at once
