Principal AI Engineer- Enterprise AI

This is a full-time Principal AI Engineer role focusing on architecting and implementing agentic AI workflows at BetterUp. The position involves bridging large language models with internal systems to automate complex processes and enhance decision-making across their enterprise ecosystem. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and a deep understanding of AI principles and scalability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years building AI-powered or data-intensive systems in production environments
• Proven experience designing and deploying LLM-based or multi-agent systems
• Strong foundation in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages
• Experience integrating AI models with enterprise systems
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Working knowledge of AI observability, model evaluation, and safety frameworks
• Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
