Principal Software Engineer

ServiceNow is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the Intelligent Workflow Engineering organization. This role will focus on architecting and building the next-generation Workflow Automation Engine for their AI-enhanced platform. The engineer will be involved in scaling the engine, integrating AI and automation, and optimizing performance across various systems. They'll also contribute to long-term system modernization and design.

Requirements

• Experience with AI integration into workflows.
• Experience in building workflow engines, orchestration frameworks, or message queues.
• Strong background in distributed systems, microservices, and data consistency.
• Exposure to or collaboration with AI research/ML systems.
• Deep understanding of scale, performance, and reliability.
