Senior Backup / Storage Engineer

Senior Backup / Storage Engineer with 6-12 years of experience required. In-depth knowledge of ECS, Avamar, Networker, Data Domain, and Tape Libraries. Strong backup and restore skills, with experience in backup software integration and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of ECS, Avamar, Networker (19.X) and its modules, Data Domain, Tape Libraries
• Solid knowledge on backup and restore skills
• Client backup configuration requirements for backup agents
• Good knowledge in administration and create reports on the reporting tools like Dell EMC DPA
• Backup software integration with most used applications in industry
• Understanding of Backup and recovery Concepts and troubleshooting
• Specific knowledge on Networker, Data Domain and Dell EMC products
• Experience on Networker, Data Domain upgrades in production environment
• Knowledge on ticketing tool like ServiceNow
• Upgrades capacity management
• Unix and windows administration
• Networker Architecture
• Strong skills in Backup troubleshooting
• Networker process flow
• Installation of client server of networker
• Tape drives and tape libraries
• Tapes LTO 7 LTO 8 other types of tape media
• Storage administrator L3 on Netapp and EMC storage arrays
• SAN and NAS Protocols
• SnapMirror, SnapVault and Unified Replication
• Storage array and San switch upgrades
• Storage virtual machines (SVM) creation for CIFS, NFS, ISCSI and FCP protocols
• NFS & CIFS protocols configuration and setup with the Unix/Windows authentication
• Storage Monitoring and configuring Alerts
• Plan and implement Storage refresh and perform cutover
