Gartner is hiring a Senior Observability Engineer (DevOps) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a relevant enterprise log analysis framework and a deep knowledge of observability and data analysis tools. The role involves designing, building, and operating the infrastructure that enables observability of critical assets across the organization, ensuring optimal performance and availability, and automating wherever possible.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering (or equivalent work experience)
- 4-8 years in a role operating a relevant enterprise log analysis framework
- Deep knowledge on installing, configuring, maintaining, and using observability and data analysis tools
- Skilled in data processing, visualization and analysis with SPL, SQL, Regex; Javascript, Python, Bash, Powershell; HTML, CSS, Javascript
- Experience using AI/ML
- Familiar with automation, DevOps, CI/CD, & IaC tools and practices
- A fundamental understanding of developing and working in the cloud and with serverless and containerized technologies
- Comfortable in Linux administration and common OS troubleshooting utilities
- Working understanding of good software, network, and systems design
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Contributions meet or exceed team standards

- Familiar with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar tools
