Senior Staff Software Developer - FinOps Cloud Development Platform

ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Staff Software Developer to join the FinOps Tools team. This role focuses on building the Cloud Development Platform, a comprehensive data infrastructure to empower data practitioners. The role involves designing, architecting, and rapidly implementing a cloud-native data development platform, collaborating with existing teams, and leveraging AI-driven development practices.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering or 8+ years in computer science with a Master's degree
• Deep expertise in full-stack development and cloud-native architecture
• Strong Python skills for backend services and API development
• Hands-on experience building and scaling developer platforms at enterprise scale
• Understanding of cloud development environments (Coder, GitHub Codespaces, Gitpod, or similar)
• Strong Kubernetes and containerization expertise
• Experience with data workflows and tooling (Jupyter, notebooks, orchestration systems)
• Full professional proficiency in English
