The ServiceNow Developer role involves designing, developing, and customizing applications, workflows, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform to support business processes and improve service delivery.

Requirements

  • Breaking down functional and business requirements into tangible, clear and estimable objectives
  • Writing end-to-end automated tests to provide code coverage for business-critical components
  • Ensuring quality, performance and adherence to specifications of assigned development tasks and adjacent technology solutions
  • Designing, developing, and customizing applications, workflows, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform
  • Modifying existing ServiceNow applications to align with organizational requirements and improve functionality
  • Producing and running test cases, deploying solutions to test environments, and managing the deployment process to production
  • Providing clear documentation of the developed applications, workflows, and integrations for future reference and maintenance
  • Developing integrations using ServiceNow APIs, web services, and other tools to connect ServiceNow with external system
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Web Services, MySQL, and CSS
  • Being able to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues within ServiceNow
  • Working effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and end-users to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver quality applications
  • Working with ServiceNow vendors to address product defects and ensure timely resolution
  • Managing the ServiceNow platform, including tasks like patching, upgrades, and performance monitoring
