We are seeking a ServiceNow System Specialist I to perform professional applications services for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT). The ideal candidate will have knowledge of ServiceNow administration, development, or support, and will be able to work in a dynamic, creative thinking, problem solving environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of two (2) years of college with coursework in computer science or directly related fields
  • Satisfactory completion of an agency-sponsored training program
  • Successful completion of specific proficiency tests and training programs for qualified state employees in the Upward Mobility Program
  • Elementary knowledge of ServiceNow administration, development, or support
  • Elementary knowledge of ServiceNow scripting languages such as JavaScript, Glide, Jelly, etc.
  • Elementary knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile development methodologies
  • Elementary knowledge of debugging and troubleshooting software applications
  • Elementary knowledge of web services integration (SOAP and REST APIs)
  • Elementary knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and query development
  • Elementary knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Visio, and Project
