USAA seeks a Software Engineer I to identify and manage risks associated with business activities, design, develop, and test technical solutions, and lead code/design reviews. The role requires experience in mainframe technologies, relational database design, and agile methodology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- 4 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering-related occupation
- Experience in mainframe technologies such as Rational Developer for z/OS, TSO/ISPF, COBOL, JCL, CICS, REXX, Easytrieve, VSAM, SPUFI, NDM, and IBM MQ
- Relational database design and optimization with Oracle, DB2, MySQL, and IMS DB
- Mainframe Data Tools including File Aid/File Manager, CMS, and Password Safe
- Version Controlling Tools including IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), and Source Configuration Manager (SCM)
- Batch Testing & Optimization tools including QTEST, JIRA, IBM Sterling, Smart Bear Code Collaborator, Splunk, ServiceNow, SharePoint, VISIO, Linux, Unix, or Putty
- Batch Jobs Monitoring & Scheduling (BMC Control-M)
- IBM Info sphere DataStage (ETL)
- Automation of Manual processes using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology tools including Automation Anywhere & UIPath
- Java/J2EE Technologies
- Designing and developing test framework including Soap UI, Restful webservices, or JavaScript
- Production Support, Incident Management, Root cause analysis & Permanent fix to failures
