Software License Manager

GovCIO is seeking a Software License Manager to manage the lifecycle of all subscription-based software. This remote position will involve acquiring, managing, and complying with software licenses, optimizing costs, and mitigating risks. The role requires a liaison between the organization and vendors to ensure efficient and compliant software deployment.

Requirements

• Secret Clearance (Must be a Secret clearance)
• 3–5 years in software asset/license management in a federal or DoD environment
• Familiarity with DoD ESI agreements and DODIN software rationalization policies
• Experience with license optimization tools (e.g., Flexera, SNOW, ServiceNow SAM)
• Extensive knowledge on software asset management and software asset management tools and technologies
• Extensive experience in software license inventories and ‘proof of license ownership’ and ‘proof of license purchase”
• Extensive experience in managing support documentation for software license management
• ComTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II cert
