Software License Manager

GovCIO is seeking a Software License Manager to manage the lifecycle of all subscription-based software, ensuring compliance and optimizing costs. The role involves managing licenses, conducting audits, and acting as a liaison between the organization and vendors. The position requires a candidate with a background in federal/DoD and 3-5 years of experience. Strong DoD ESI agreement knowledge and proficiency with software license management tools are also essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience
• 3-5 years of experience in software asset/license management in a federal or DoD environment
• Familiarity with DoD ESI agreements and DODIN software rationalization policies
• Experience with license optimization tools (e.g., Flexera, SNOW, ServiceNow SAM)
• Extensive knowledge on software asset management and software asset management tools and technologies
• Extensive experience in software license inventories and “proof of license ownership” and “proof of license purchase”
• Extensive experience in managing support documentation for software license management
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II cert
