The Sr Architect, ServiceNow role at Nutrien involves leading the application and integration architecture strategy for service management solutions, including ServiceNow and associated integrations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive architecture roadmaps and creating and implementing solution designs for our critical service management platforms.

Requirements

  • A post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least 8 years of experience designing and delivering application and integration solutions in large, complex environments, with demonstrated expertise of ServiceNow platform architecture and service management
  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, ITSM processes, and integration technologies
  • Practical experience with inter-system integrations, including RESTful APIs, SOAP, message bus, and middleware
  • A passion for leveraging technology to solve real-world business challenges
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering sustainable architecture and solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, encompassing written, verbal, and presentation formats
  • Proven capability to collaborate and drive efficiency across diverse teams, maintaining high visibility and engagement
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to drive enterprise alignment on best practices for service management
  • Experience mentoring peers and fostering continuous improvement within high-performing teams
  • Ability to surface key issues efficiently, leveraging cross-functional relationships to architect impactful service management solutions
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF), IT service management leading practices, and current security standards
  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Architect, Implementation Specialist, or similar) preferred, but not required to apply
  • Experience with other corporate service management platforms, enterprise SaaS, or automation technologies, preferred, but not required to apply
