Sr. Tier II Network Technician

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is seeking a Tier II Network Technician to support various WAN and LAN networks. Will provide incident resolution, routing changes, firewall changes; act as subject matter expert in WAN and LAN technologies; support intra- and inter-net and other data communications systems or segments of networked system.

Requirements

• TS SCI with Poly
• Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
• Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals
• Working knowledge of layer 2 switching concepts
• Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes
• Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience (CAT5, Single Mode (SM)/Multimode (MM) Fiber, Serial cables, Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP))
• Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) models
• Knowledge of Cisco Internetworking Operating System (IOS), Juniper JUNOS, and the Brocade and Foundry Operating System (OS)
• Familiarity (doesn’t need to be a SME) with Layer 3 protocols such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP), Multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), Language Server Protocol (LSP), and Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, ServiceNow, and Atlassian Confluence
• Working knowledge of Service Now or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products
