Staff Data Platform Software Engineer

ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Data Platform Software Engineer to join their Trino Engine team within the Platform Persistence group. This role focuses on developing and optimizing critical components of the Trino engine and its containerized deployment infrastructure, contributing to performance, reliability, and scalability. The ideal candidate will collaborate with team members to solve complex distributed systems challenges and drive innovation in AI-enhanced technology.

Requirements

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes.
• Experience using AI Productivity tools (Windsurf, Cursor, etc.).
• Strong expertise in Trino engine development.
• Solid experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong understanding of distributed query processing and optimization.
• Advanced knowledge of Java/JVM ecosystem and performance tuning.
