Staff Software Engineer - Cloud Engineering

ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Cloud Engineering team. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining AI-powered cloud infrastructure, with a focus on scaling and automating cloud operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in Java and cloud architecture, but may not need to be a full-fledged cloud infrastructure expert. This position works across different teams to integrate solutions with ServiceNow platform tools and AI-powered workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with Java or a similar OO language
• Passion for JavaScript and the Web
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
• Experience with UI frameworks like Angular, React or Vue
• Analytical and design skills
• Ability to manage projects with material technical risk
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks
• Understanding software quality principles
