ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and development of its AI-first observability platform. This role focuses on building next-generation observability pipelines using agentic AI, distributed APIs, and advanced data correlation. Key responsibilities include architecting distributed APIs, integrating AI capabilities, and driving engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience in Java
- 5+ years of experience building observability solutions (metrics, logging, tracing)
- At least 1 year of hands-on agentic AI experience
- BS in Computer Science (AI specialization) or Mathematics
- Strong programming expertise in Java
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Background in observability data architecture
- Knowledge of correlation methods, statistical engineering, and applied AI/ML
