Staff Software Systems Engineer, Mail and Messaging

ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to join its Mail & Messaging team in Systems Engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and maintaining robust, scalable systems and services, with a strong emphasis on Python development. The role involves architecting, developing, and maintaining backend systems and services, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
• Strong experience with Linux and Linux-based services running at scale.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, with the ability to design and implement complex systems.
• Experience working on mail systems is highly desirable.
