This role is for a System Reliability Engineer (SRE) within the International Banking Systems Reliability Office team at ScotiaTech. The SRE will collaborate with application teams, infrastructure, and business partners to improve the stability, reliability, and efficiency of their Regional systems. This involves SRE practices, continuous improvement, automation, and communication with technical and business stakeholders. The role focuses on continuous process improvements and identifies reliable features.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to clearly communicate incident status via email
  • Ability to represent the team in meetings
  • 8+ years' experience in IT with 3+ years in leadership
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • ITIL V3/v4 Foundation Certification
  • Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow)
  • Strong understanding of OS platforms (Linux/UNIX)
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience in Agile environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proeficient in Reliability practices, SLIs and SLAs, and SLOs

Requirements Summary
