Link Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Vulnerability Remediation and Patching Support Lead to join their team at Adelphi, MD. The position involves overseeing the management of patch deployment and vulnerability mitigation in accordance with DoD and ARL IT policies.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • MS or BA/BS in computer sciences or information technology with two (2+) additional years of experience
  • Ten (10+) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.)
  • Must obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of hire
  • Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity compliance requirements and tools (STIGs, SCAP, RMF)
  • Demonstrated experience with patching tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM/MCEM, Red Hat Satellite, JAMF, or Ansible)
  • Ability to manage complex remediation plans across a heterogeneous IT environment
  • Experience writing and modifying automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Tenable.sc/Nessus, Qualys, OpenSCAP)
  • Preferred:
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
  • Platform-specific certifications preferred (e.g., RHCSA, MCSA, MCP)
  • Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
