The Applications Support Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role that applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge to develop new techniques and improve processes and work-flow for the area or function. The role requires good analytical skills, strong communication and diplomacy skills, and regular informal/formal leadership role within teams.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years experience in an Application Support role.
  • Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications.
  • Experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn.
  • Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
  • Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Issue tracking and reporting using tools
  • Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools.
  • Good all-round technical skills
  • Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
  • Ability to plan and organize workload
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholder
  • Experience writing Linux Shell scripts
  • Good Technical knowledge of Cloudera stack, Kafka, Spark, Hive, HBase, Sqoop, Talend, Couchbase
  • Good Technical knowledge of Oracle 19c, SQL, MS SQL Server
  • Good Technical Skills in Java, API and XML
  • Familiarity with ITIL process, ServiceNow, ITRS monitoring and AppDynamics tools.
  • Technical understanding of IBM WebSphere and TIBCO
  • Knowledge of MicroStrategy and Tableau
  • Knowledge NDM, SFTP, MQ & TIBCO EMS
  • Autosys or relevant batching tools
  • Experience on Cloud computing and migrating applications to ECS containers
  • Experience on GitHub, TeamCity, Maven, CHEF or Ansible, Jenkins
