AppOps Specialist will enhance and optimize availability, resiliency, and performance of Interac's payment systems. The role involves leading production support, implementing changes, and proactively identifying emerging issues. The candidate will work closely with DevSecOps, Architecture, Observability, and Enabling Tech squads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. Java, Spring) and willingness/ability to learn.
  • Experience using version control systems, such as Git, for managing codebases and collaboration.
  • Experience with scripting e.g. Power Shell, Python, Ansible.
  • Experience with microservices and containerization (e.g. Docker).
  • Experience using tools such as Cloud watch, Splunk, Dynatrace, ServiceNow.
  • Good understanding of Agile development and Agile frameworks (e.g. JIRA, GitHub).
  • Good understanding of Service Management processes and operating procedures (Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Event Management, Release Management).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
