Plan and execute a detailed assessment of the current state of all hardware, software, and network platforms, identifying obsolescence risks and modernization opportunities, and delivering a prioritized roadmap.
Requirements
- Experience: ≥ 7 years designing enterprise system architectures, ≥ 3 years in assessment / modernization initiatives of legacy systems.
- Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of x86 servers, blade, virtualization (VMware vSphere / ESXi, HyperV, KVM), LAN / WAN networks, SAN / NAS storage, software-defined storage.
- Operating Systems: Advanced administration of Windows Server (2012 → 2022) and Linux (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu).
- Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and cloud engines (Aurora, Azure SQL). Patch evaluation, clustering, logical and physical backups capabilities.
- Enterprise Applications: Familiarity with ERPs (ideal SAP ECC / S / 4 HANA) and middleware (WebLogic, Tomcat, IIS).
- Cloud & DevOps: Architecture in AWS and / or Azure (Landing Zones, Well Architected, IAM, VPC / VNet). Containers (Docker, Kubernetes), IaC (Terraform / CloudFormation).
- Cybersecurity: NIST CSF principles, hardening, vulnerability management, operational continuity.
- Discovery Tools: Lansweeper, SCCM, ServiceNow CMDB, Tanium, VMware Aria, or equivalents.
- Methodologies & Frameworks: TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT; project management (PMI / PMBOK or Agile hybrid).
- Languages: Native Spanish; technical English (able to read end-of-support bulletins and articulate with vendors).
- Academic Education: University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or similar.
- Valued Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure SA Expert, VMware VCP DCV, TOGAF 9 / 10, ITIL v4.
