Associate Systems Engineer (Windows, Logic Monitor) - Req 2283

Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, delivers health IT solutions that support caregivers around the world. This role is for an Associate Systems Engineer with experience in Windows and Logic Monitor.

Requirements

• ITIL foundation knowledge/experience
• Experience in Event Management, Incident Management, MI's, System Outages, and ITIL
• Support experience in configuration Management and PowerShell Scripting
• Integration experience with ServiceNow, Chef, and network automation tools
• Basic understanding of scripting and ability to write basic scripts
• Strong understanding of Windows Event Logs
• Operational experience with utilization of monitoring tools and good understanding/working experience with tracing health of agents/collectors and support
• Good understanding on windows servers, different types of services, clustering etc.
• MCSA Certification may be a plus
• Understanding of different types of databases and ability with running queries
• Mandatory skills around analytics, system issue troubleshooting, ability with understanding error logs, investigate issue to get system up and running with maintaining maximum system up-time
• Experience in Linux/Windows/Network administration and operations desirable
• 2-3 years of administrating enterprise Windows and Virtual Environment
• Working knowledge of SQL server 2014, 2016, Always On
• Sound knowledge on Various Operating systems flavors, System files, Registry
• LogicMonitor Engine, Collector, LogicMonitor dashboards, Configuration Management
• Understanding on QoS, Multicast, MPLS, Traffic, IP Telephony, Performance
• Understanding of Cisco IP SLA, NetFlow, Multicast and VOIP
• Experience in Linux/Windows/Network administration and operations desirable
• Experience with monitoring solutions and/or associated protocols (WMI, SNMP, JDBC, HTTP, etc.)
• Must have experience with IIS, Clustering & File & different services
• Experience with Patching & Security remediation, AD and Domain services
• Experience with monitoring tools and antivirus will be added advantage
• Knowledge of Data Center operations and vendor handling
• Exceptional troubleshooting, written and oral communication skills
