The Business Manager I position will be responsible for managing and coordinating the business operations of the Caine School of the Arts. The successful candidate will manage and coordinate the business operations of the school and assigned units, including budget development and management, financial reporting, personnel processes, accounts payable, accounts receivable, contracts and grants, and other administrative functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business field or an equivalent combination of education plus experience
- Previous university experience with knowledge of USU policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of Banner HR module, Argos, EZ-Buy, and ServiceNow
- Proactive in resolving issues, setting up processes, and providing high-level customer service
- Knowledge of finance enterprise systems and software
- Computer skills, including Excel and Windows
- Knowledge of management reporting systems
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures
- Ability to train and lead staff
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of contracting processes and associated local, state, federal, and other regulations
- Ability to develop and maintain record keeping systems and procedures
- Skilled in budget preparation and fiscal management
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections
- Knowledge of software to quantify and illustrate complex financial reports, comparisons, impacts, and/or projections
- Knowledge of current business issues and trends
