The Business Analyst (Reporting) will be responsible for the transformation and interpretation of data insights, reports, and dashboards needed to provide Technology leadership with information required to make data driven decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on data analysis or statistics preferred
- A minimum of three (3) + years’ experience working in a similar field working with data integration, modeling analytics or reporting using Microsoft PowerBI or other related tools
- Experience with Executive level reporting preferred
- Experience with JIRA and ServiceNow preferred
- Experience in business intelligence and data warehousing preferred
- Experience in Mortgage, Banking, Insurance or any other financial related industry
- Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position
- Experience with object oriented or functional programming (i.e. Python)
- Able to evaluate new technologies and build prototypes for continuous improvements in Data Engineering
- Experience with Self-Service Business Intelligence tools like Tableau and Alteryx
- Very familiar with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases (i.e. Snowflake) for running queries for large datasets
- Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position
- Intermediate skills in data correction, manipulation, and analytical reporting
- Intermediate knowledge of cloud databases i.e., Snowflake and Microsoft Synapse to perform data validations
- Highly proficient with Power Bi and a strong working knowledge of Power Platform toolset (Power Apps, Power Automate), Visual Studio, etc.
- Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation
- Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Special emphasis on knowledge of Excel analytics capabilities
- Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio, and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication with the ability to engage all levels of the organization
- Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross functional departments
- Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term and long-term basis
- Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management
- Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in nonstandardized situations
