Director of Global Sourcing, Marketing Category

News Corp is seeking a Director of Global Sourcing, Marketing Category to lead the development and implementation of a complete Category Strategy for the Marketing Procurement category, collaborating with key stakeholders and leaders affected by the category. The role involves developing and driving holistic category strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and bringing excellence to News Corp-wide sourcing, supplier, and supplier management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years of global strategic sourcing experience in the Marketing category
• Supplier management experience working with Marketing agencies
• Experience with Marketing stakeholder management and the use of data and insights to influence decision makers and drive business decisions
• Minimum 5 years demonstrated track record of people management leadership experience
• Minimum 3 years experience leading cross-cultural teams
• Minimum 3 years of procurement transformation experience
• Embraces fact-based decision making; naturally seeks to leverage and/or integrate market data, spend analytics, and cost modeling
• Proven written and oral communicator, with strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Expert negotiator with proven experience in setting negotiation strategies and conducting negotiations
• Strong project management skills
• Expert understanding of, and deep experience with, multi-step strategic sourcing processes and category management strategies
• Extensive knowledge of the basic types of commercial agreement structures and the function and purpose of key legal terms
• Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and monitoring processes
