The Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a motivated and skilled professional to serve as the Educational Technology Coordinator at Illinois Youth Center (IYC) Harrisburg. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, experience managing educational technology systems, and the ability to coordinate initiatives that enhance teaching and learning across multiple school sites.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably in business or public administration.
  • Requires two years of responsible administrative experience in public, educational, or business organization.
  • Serves as the primary liaison with DoIT to coordinate technology needs, projects, and service escalations.
  • Manages and tracks technology service requests, installations, maintenance, and system upgrades.
  • Ensures compliance with state IT policies, standards, cybersecurity requirements, and operational protocols.
  • Provides technical assistance, troubleshooting, and training to instructional and administrative staff.
  • Supports digital learning initiatives and classroom technology integration by monitoring system performance and resolving instructional-impacting issues.
  • Maintains documentation and reports related to technology operations and travels to facilities as needed to assess and support systems.
