Emerging Tech is seeking a Referral Management Subject Matter Expert to support the VA’s Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience (or 8+ years in lieu of degree) with a bachelor’s in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Strong subject matter expertise in Oracle Health (Cerner) Community Care and Referral Management solutions, including configuration, workflows, and capabilities.
- Experience deploying enterprise-scale information architectures and integrating open systems with legacy healthcare platforms.
- Proven ability to analyze workflows, identify risks, and design future state processes aligned with clinical operations.
- Skilled in creating and validating test scripts; supporting all phases of EHRM testing and go-live events.
- Proficient in managing tickets, escalations, and reporting using tools like ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with Cerner Millennium (2018+ versions) and Cerner Model recommendations.
- Knowledge of scheduling, authorization, and eligibility workflows in healthcare.
- Strong documentation, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Prior experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or similar healthcare environments preferred.
- Experience with risk analysis, impact assessments, and change management a plus
