Emerging Tech is seeking a Referral Management Subject Matter Expert to support the VA’s Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. This role combines clinical operations, technology, and program execution, requiring a seasoned professional with experience in electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner. The expert will focus on workflow alignment, technical issue resolution, and translating solution capabilities to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience (or 8+ years in lieu of degree) with a bachelor’s in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Strong subject matter expertise in Oracle Health (Cerner) Community Care and Referral Management solutions, including configuration, workflows, and capabilities.
• Experience deploying enterprise-scale information architectures and integrating open systems with legacy healthcare platforms.
• Proven ability to analyze workflows, identify risks, and design future state processes aligned with clinical operations.
• Skilled in creating and validating test scripts; supporting all phases of EHRM testing and go-live events.
• Proficient in managing tickets, escalations, and reporting using tools like ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with Cerner Millennium (2018+ versions) and Cerner Model recommendations.
• Knowledge of scheduling, authorization, and eligibility workflows in healthcare.
• Strong documentation, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Prior experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or similar healthcare environments preferred
