GAMA-1 Technologies is seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer III to support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise cybersecurity defenses within a federal telework environment. The role involves developing, tuning, and maintaining intrusion detection and security monitoring capabilities, executing vulnerability scans, and supporting remediation efforts. GAMA-1 is a rapidly growing technology business focused on information assurance and business services for the Federal Government.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 4-8 years of progressive experience in security engineering or cybersecurity operations.
• Strong technical proficiency in Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, and related federal security standards.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
