IT Systems Engineer

Lightcast Discovery is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to join their growing IT team. This role involves supporting colleagues across various IT systems, including network architecture, cybersecurity, and hardware support. You will be a point of escalation, resolving support requests, maintaining system performance, and planning for future needs. The company is at the forefront of complex cell analysis, working with pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions using their innovative Lightcast platform.

Requirements

• 3 Years minimum experience in IT support, ideally in a 2nd Line Engineering role
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11 and Active Directory
• Familiarity with ITSM ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow, Freshworks, Zendesk)
• Agility, combined with effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a logical mindset
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to interact with colleagues at all levels regardless of their technical abilities.
• A proven interest in technology & IT Security, with examples that you can discuss at interview.
• Strong communication skills – ability to explain tech to non-tech people, fluent in both spoken and written English
• The ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service, that often exceeds expectations
• Passion for learning and professional growth, with a proactive approach to seeking work when appropriate and identifying service improvements.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Defender management portals to a high level.
• Microsoft Teams Meeting Rooms - hardware, architecture and system configuration.
