As a Junior DevOps Engineer in our team, you will be responsible for supporting the rollout of software systems used by Swift Customers. You will work closely with developers, testers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your role will involve configuring and maintaining production and testing application environment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely resolutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a production operations environment
  • Experience in Change, Release and Problem Management processes
  • Experience in drafting test scenarios, execute test cases and automation
  • Experience working with Linux operating systems
  • Experience working and managing Oracle Databases and SQL
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with one or more scripting languages such as Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.
  • Knowledge of web hosting and networking concepts and awareness of protocols including HTTP, FTP, SSH, DNS, SMTP, TCP/IP etc.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
  • Good understanding of software release management processes and tools
  • Experience working with ITSM processes and tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.
  • Knowledge of container platforms and orchestration such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, etc.
