Network Security Engineer | Palo Alto

UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a Network Security Engineer to support a customer's network engineering team. This role involves implementing firewall rule requests in Palo Alto firewalls, retiring obsolete objects, and ensuring compliance with security policies. The position is 50-75% onsite in Phoenix, AZ.

Requirements

• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status
• Proven experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama.
• Basic understanding of network concepts and principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching, subnets).
• Strong understanding of firewall rule creation, NAT policies, and security zones.
• Familiarity with network protocols and IP addressing.
• Experience with change control processes and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
