The Operations Support Specialist will support web-based applications, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and lead cloud migration initiatives. They will manage AWS cloud infrastructure, integrate DevOps practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering or related field
- 8 years of related experience
- Manage and troubleshoot applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and containerized systems using Docker and Kubernetes
- Support and configure application servers (e.g., Apache Tomcat, IIS) for Java and.NET applications, ensuring optimal performance
- Proficient in using monitoring and log analysis tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ThousandEyes) to proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks and application issues in production environments
- Lead and support Major Incident Management (MIM) processes, troubleshooting complex production issues, and ensuring minimal downtime for web applications
- Manage relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) for performance analysis and debugging
- Knowledge in Using version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) to manage application code, and proficient in tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Remedy) for incident tracking and service management
