This job is responsible for estimating, designing, developing, and supporting automation solutions, including logic control programs and graphical interfaces, for pipeline simulation applications. The incumbent works under regular supervision while in training until proficient and applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or closely related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of Python, SQL, Microsoft Office, Fluid Simulation software experience preferred
- Experience with modeling and simulation software (Fluid Simulation software, SPS, SynergiGas, DNV) to calculate and analyze hydraulic conditions on a system-wide network basis
- Background in Fluid Mechanics, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), multi-directional flow interactions, statistical analysis, research protocols and standards research, analyze technical data related to project design, materials and construction techniques, ADL scripting preferred
- Experience with simulation applications backend design preferred
- Reading and developing technical pipeline drawings and procedures: P&ID, PFDs, PHA, etc. preferred
- Experience with SCADA and ServiceNow applications including diagnosing and resolving technical issues including software, hardware, and network problems preferred
- Experience interacting, advising and communicating effectively
- Experience developing information, conducting meetings and making presentations preferred
- Working knowledge and/or demonstrated experience of multiple development languages and/or platforms preferred
- Working knowledge and/or demonstrated experience in software development and programming concepts/techniques
- Working knowledge and/or demonstrated experience working with database management systems
