Principal Systems Engineer

Amtrak is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to serve as a Technical Program Office (TPO) resource for Capital SAP work within Digital Technology. The role involves providing guidance to SAP COE PO teams, troubleshooting existing systems, and evaluating solutions. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Nine (9) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Principal Systems Engineer or any occupation related to Software Development
• Seven (7) years of experience: 1) Developing and configuring SAP PO interfaces that move successfully into production; 2) Monitoring Enterprise PO Solutions, specifically PO channels/interfaces to resolve technical issues; 3) Performing on-call rotation to support Enterprise SAP PO solutions; 4) Utilizing ServiceNow ITIL Framework for Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management; 5) Acting as the Subject Matter Expert for PO development and supporting at least three simultaneous high priority projects requiring PO development and/or architecture; 6) Acting as a Team Lead of the SAP PI/PO Team
• Six (6) years of experience: 1) Utilizing ServiceNow ITIL Framework for Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management; 2) Acting as the Subject Matter Expert for PO development and supporting at least three simultaneous high priority projects requiring PO development and/or architecture; 3) Acting as a Team Lead of the SAP PI/PO Team
