Public Cloud Engineer - CloudOps (Network Focus)

Protera is seeking a Public Cloud Engineer to implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and network environments across multiple platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and VMware. This role requires strong networking expertise and collaboration with customers and internal teams to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of cloud workloads. The position involves supporting diverse network architectures for enterprise environments.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience supporting cloud or hybrid infrastructure in production environments.
• Solid experience with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, subnetting, VLANs, VPNs, load balancing).
• Familiarity with VMware, AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network, or GCP Cloud Networking.
• Strong background in Windows and Linux system administration.
• Hands-on experience with DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, FTP, Group Policy, and IIS.
• Ability to perform detailed root cause analysis and log analysis.
• Basic scripting experience in PowerShell or Python.
• Exposure to tools such as ServiceNow, LogicMonitor, and Elastic Search is a plus.
