Senior Engineer - Center of Excellence (Multiple Positions)

The Senior Engineer – Center of Excellence provides technical leadership and subject matter expertise for Houston ISD’s enterprise ERP systems, supporting functional teams in Finance, HR, Payroll, Procurement, and Warehousing by configuring, testing, and troubleshooting core modules in SAP and Oracle Fusion Cloud.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or business technology
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting ERP systems, including at least one full-cycle implementation or migration
• Expertise in at least one ERP functional area (e.g., Payroll, Procurement, Finance, HR)
• Experience in ERP configuration and system troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of business process design and system testing methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of change management and release documentation processes
• Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Microsoft Power BI is a plus
