Senior iSeries Administrator

Datacom is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior iSeries Administrator to join their Managed Operations team. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of IBM i (AS/400, iSeries) environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to operational excellence in a managed services setting.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IBM iSeries administration in a managed services or enterprise environment
• Strong knowledge of IBM i OS, hardware architecture, and system utilities
• Proficiency in CL programming, BRMS, and job scheduling tools (e.g., Robot, Control-M)
• Experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery solutions
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
